The city
Miami in brief.
Unlike the cities to its north, Miami has its season in winter. Stone crab returns to menus from mid October, Art Basel Miami Beach fills the Convention Center in early December with Design Miami beside it, and the boat show and the South Beach Wine & Food Festival follow in February.
Tennis and motor racing carry the spring: the Miami Open in March and Formula 1 in early May share the grounds of Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. South Beach is the constant, where about 800 historic buildings between 5th and 23rd Streets form the Art Deco district.

Art week in December
Art Basel Miami Beach occupies the Miami Beach Convention Center in early December, with Design Miami alongside in Pride Park and the murals of Wynwood Walls across the bay.

Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens hosts the Miami Open over two weeks in March, then becomes the centre of the Miami International Autodrome for the Grand Prix in early May.
