Privacy
What FunJetSetter holds, and why.
FunJetSetter is the sister site of FJS Concierge, and shares its approach to privacy: collect only what is useful, keep it only as long as it serves you, and put you in control of who sees it.

Who is responsible
FunJetSetter and FJS Concierge are sister products of one company, FJSConcierge Ltd, sharing a single identity system, the FJS Passport, and a single database. FJSConcierge Ltd is the data controller for information collected through this website. Questions, corrections and deletion requests go to sigal@funjetsetter.com.
Your FJS Passport
Signing in to FunJetSetter uses the same FJS Passport as FJS Concierge. Registration, email verification and sign-in itself all happen on FJS Concierge; FunJetSetter starts its own separate session once you arrive, referencing that Passport, and reads a narrow set of Passport fields rather than holding a second copy of your identity.
Your FJS Passport is shared with FJS Concierge, our sister service: your name, verified email and phone, and the five privacy flags described below, are held once and read by both products, never duplicated.
What FunJetSetter collects, and why
Only what you choose to add, on the pages where you choose to add it.
- Membership application. When you request membership, FunJetSetter stores your name, mobile number, home city, and occupation or industry, and, optionally, who referred you and a short note on why you are applying. Your email is not typed into the form; it is read from your verified FJS Passport. Every application is considered individually.
- Your Passport profile. A preferred name, occupation, industry, a short biography, and, optionally, a website, a LinkedIn profile and an Instagram handle, plus the interests and cities you choose from a fixed list to describe you.
- Trips. A city, arrival and departure dates, what the trip is for, and private notes if you add them. None of these fields ever holds an exact hotel, a flight number, a room number, a live location or a private address, by design, and the notes field asks you to leave them out too.
- Connections and introductions. When you ask to connect with another member, or ask for an introduction, FunJetSetter stores who you asked, a short note or reason if you add one, and the request itself: asked, accepted, declined or withdrawn. You may block another member at any time, which closes everything open between you in both directions.
- Notifications. FunJetSetter stores a short title and a short body for each notification, and a link back into the member area, never a full copy of what happened. For each category (membership, travel, calendar, people, introductions and FJS Concierge updates) you choose whether it shows in FunJetSetter at all, and whether it is also emailed immediately, in a daily digest, in a weekly digest, or not at all.
Who can see what: privacy is closed by default
Every FunJetSetter privacy setting starts at its most private value. Nothing about you is shown to another member, suggested to another member, or opened to an introduction until you choose to open it, on your own privacy page. There is no public audience: nothing about a member, profile, interests, city, travel or event attendance included, is shown on a FunJetSetter page to a visitor who is not signed in, whatever your settings say.
Five privacy flags on your FJS Passport, changed at FJS Concierge’s own account settings (opens in a new tab), bound what FunJetSetter will ever show, whatever your FunJetSetter setting says: closing one of them there closes the matching FunJetSetter settings here too, and your privacy page tells you whenever a flag is holding a choice closed. A few FunJetSetter settings are also capped by your own wider choices; your social links and interests are never shown more widely than your profile, and your travel dates never more widely than your upcoming travel itself.
We never sell your data
FunJetSetter never sells, rents or shares your personal information for another company’s marketing. Contact details you give us are used only to respond to you and to run your membership and Passport, and are never added to a marketing list.
Cookies and other technologies
FunJetSetter sets one cookie: a sealed, signed session cookie that keeps you signed in once you arrive from FJS Concierge. It carries an internal reference only, is readable only by FunJetSetter’s own server, and is never used to track you across other websites.
FunJetSetter runs no analytics, no advertising and no third party tracking of any kind. Nothing beyond that one strictly necessary cookie is set, so this page needs no cookie consent banner.
Who else processes it
These providers handle data on FunJetSetter’s behalf, each for one purpose:
- Supabase, the database that holds applications, Passport profiles, trips, connections and notifications. It is the same database FJS Concierge uses.
- Cloudflare, hosting and delivery of the website itself.
- Resend, sending the confirmation and notification emails.
How long we keep it
Membership applications and Passport details are kept while your membership or application is open, and for as long as the record is useful to you as a member. Trips, connections, introductions and notifications are kept while your account is active. If your membership is revoked, or you ask us to close your Passport, we keep only what the law requires and delete the rest.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what FunJetSetter holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and we will act on it. Write to sigal@funjetsetter.com. Because your FJS Passport is shared with FJS Concierge, some requests, such as closing the Passport itself, are handled together with FJS Concierge, and we will tell you when that is the case. If you are in the UK you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security
FunJetSetter is served only over HTTPS. Your session is a sealed, signed cookie that only this exact host can read; nobody, staff included, can read it as plain text. Your membership, Passport and privacy pages are shown only to the signed-in member they belong to.
