Cannes

One bay, one Palais, and a new industry in town each season

The city

Cannes in brief.

Everything in Cannes points towards the Palais des Festivals. The building at the western end of the Croisette hosts the property trade in March, the film festival for twelve days in May and the advertising industry in June, and the town rearranges itself around each.

Older Cannes sits just behind: the hill of Le Suquet, the covered Forville market at its foot, and the two Lérins islands a quarter of an hour offshore. September returns the bay to sailors, first for the Yachting Festival and then for the classic yachts of the Régates Royales.

Who the city draws

Film producers and distributors in May, agency and brand people in June and yacht builders and owners in September rarely overlap, which gives each month its own crowd.

Cannes is one of the network's cities. Members can make it their home city or add a trip here, and see who is in the city and who is arriving, as each member has chosen to share it.

Nothing about people is public. This page shows the city, never who is in it.
